We "reside" on Seabrook Island, SC. Johns Island is associated with the zip code. I am currently serving as a member of the Seabrook Island Town Council (4 members plus a Mayor .... big deal). I hope to get re-elected to another 2 year term this November, but only 2 Lebo grads can vote for me ... Don Seymour and Susan Shuttleworth (Legget)

Happy Birthday (a day late, for which I am sorry). See you Friday!

Just returned from a visit with my sister (class ’60).  She and Judy Foldes’ sister Eva were close friends.  Barbara Baker (Price) and her sister Susan made up a neighborhood triumvirate.  My sister and I spent an afternoon reminiscing.  My family moved to Pgh in 1948, and our next-door neighbors were the Foldes’s.   Judy was my first friend in my new “home.”  She was always so kind.  I remember a time in first grade (Howe) when were instructed to make something with art paper, paste, crayons (the usual “art supplies” then).  I was in a total creative “block,” couldn’t think of anything to do.  I was distraught.  Class was approaching recess.  I had nothing.  Judy stayed behind to help me come up with an idea.  Had it not been for her in that moment I might still be in the first grade classroom, head down on my desk in despair. Her family moved a year or so later to the Foster district (and Barbara followed not long afterward), and our bond lessened after that.  We caught up at the 25th and 50th reunions, and we had planned to do so again at the 60th.  Judy was such a wonderful person, so incredibly smart and talented.  I will miss her very much.

Yes, decent breakfast spot. Are you looking for recommendations in the area? We don’t live there anymore but we know some great places depending on what meal you are interested …

(4/9) Happy Birthday, my friend. Many memories, but none so clear as a touch game in your backyard. Your Father was a mountain of a man. He and I were on opposite sides. At the snap he came barreling across the line yelling at top volume. I was terrified and started running backward. We had a good laugh later! Have a great day, and I hope you and yours are healthy and safe.
