I currently live in Savannah, GA. For the last 20 years, I have lived and worked in several places. Since I grew up only in Mt. Lebanon, then raised my kids in NJ, after they graduated from college, I decided I should spread my wings and fly!

I was a schoolteacher for thirty years and retired a while ago. I taught in Freehold, NJ, Escambia Schools in Pensacola, Santa Rosa Schools in Gulf Breeze, and finally Scottsdale, AZ. By the end of my career, I had taught just about every grade from K-8! In the last half of my career, I became a Gifted and Talented Specialist. Most of my years were spent teaching middle-schoolers, where I earned my wings to enter Heaven's Gate sometime in the future! I moved to Austin, TX, after I retired, and worked as a part-time consultant in the Advanced Academics Department where I "graduated" to teaching teachers!

I couldn't wait to quit working, but have found there are aspects of education that I miss. Mostly the belief that I was contributing to society in such a positive way. I worked in lots of schools over the years, but never found one as special as Mt. Lebanon! I am so proud to be a Lebo graduate! I find I can easily pass almost all of the Facebook Quizzes, which they say guarantees me a spot in the top 2% of Americans!!! Who knew my education would serve me so well?!

Dick was one of the best guys!  He will be missed by all those who knew him.  Lee-you and your family are in our thoughts.  May his memory be a blessing.

I think I recently saw that you have a birthday coming up!
I am so glad you have beaten your cancer, or at least held it at bay...and here you are, ready to celebrate another birthday! I can hardly believe we have grown so old. Even though we know we will get old someday, it still comes as a surprise when it really happens....
I hope you have found a Covid vaccination somewhere, and are good to go for at least another year (when we’ll probably need another.)
Enjoy a very happy birthday, Ira!

I am so saddened to hear of Jeanne's passing.  We were great friends in high school, and it was so hard for me when she had to move her senior year.  Fortunately, she did come back for Senior Weekend!  And fortunately for me, I got to spend the last two reunions as her roommate when we reunited for our 45th and 50th reunions.  Oh how we laughed as we tried to recognize old classmates and remember their high school personalities!  In all the years we had been apart, you could literally throw us together in the same room and our conversation would start up where it had left off.  Some old friends are just like that...My most favorite memory of Jeanne (who had perfect vision by the way) would pretend to lose a contact in the high school lunchroom!  I thought this was hysterical at the time, and it still amuses me.  She would have a group of kids around her diligently searching for her invisable contact, and everyone would be crawling around the floor trying to help her!  At the time, that was just sooooo funny!
Jeanne was such a positive influence on everyone she met.  Always smiling, laughing, and being the greatest comedienne in the room!  This is an intense personal loss for me as she was a bright light in my world.  Even though we hadn't spoken in a few years, she was one of the top people on my Lebo's Greatest list.  I shall miss her deeply.  RIP, Jeanne.  You have left an indelible impression....
